New category not available when creating event

Postby fjallis » Tue Feb 05, 2013 6:21 pm

Hi there,

Joomla 2.5.8 and jEvents 2.2.8. On my site, I've got one calender and five categories which are all available both frontend and backend when I (or any of the permitted users) creates a new event.

Here's my problem. I've created a sixth category which, when I try to create a new event, are not available in the category scroll down list (backend, logged in as admin (superuser)). The permissions are identical compared to any of the old categories and all other settings as well.

The category is however an available choice if I'm logged in at the frontend.

I'm missing something obvious but I can't figure out what. Please help me out on this one. It's very frustrating right now...

Regards,
Johan

Hello Johan,

This sounds very suspect.

Are you using JEvents Authorised usermode?

Can you:

Code: Select all

In the authorised user entries make sure 'all categories' is selected and not the individual categories

Thanks! For admin, individual categories was selected, not all. For all other users all was set. Since I logged in with a different user at frontend, the new category was visible at frontend vs. backend.
