Hello,
I installed JEvents on J2.5.8 40 minutes ago and it doesnt work. I can't reach the control panel because I have to check the config and save, once again , again, again, again, again, again. If I could decide if I want to check the config I would'nt have to post here. I checked everything!! So, its not a calendar component but a check-your-config-component. Nice.
Regards,

I suspect the problem is that your server has the Suhosin Patch for PHP installed on it and that its stopping your from saving the config values properly.
This patch sometimes puts a limit on the size of forms that can be posted on a website - since there are many options in JEvents config it can cause a problem on some servers.
Check your phpinfo so see if you have the suhosin patch and then check with your webhost about how to allow more post variables.
