Upgrade to JEvents 2.2.8 - Calendar pages will not show

Hi
I wonder if some kind person would be prepared to help an absolute novice? Prior to taking over our Village Council website, my previous experience of web maintenance was with FrontPage 2003 - yes that long ago.
I have attempted to upgrade our site from JEvents 1.5 to 2.2.8. The upload appeared to complete OK but when I try to access a previously working calender page from the front end, I just see a page title and the words 'Events Calender'.
For example:
Parish Council Diary
Events Calendar
The events are still present in the back end, so it must be some sort of linking problem. If I enable 'Maximum' error reporting, I get a fairly lengthy response, thus:

Upgrading to a version of Joomla later than 1.5 is not really an option, and I cannot work out how to gain ftp access to our site even though I have Super Admin rights. Is it possible or even necessary to uninstall JEvents version 2.2.8 and then install version 1.5 again?
Many thanks, Peter

Hello Peter,
You need to upgrade to Joomla! 1.5.26 the latest release. You are at a high risk of hackers at the moment.
Doing this will fix your issue.
Regards
Tony

Hi Tony
Many, many thanks for this - problem solved. Thank goodness for Akeeba Backup and the associated Admin Tools.
As someone who spent much of my working life in a Microsoft environment and with a very expensive support contract (don't believe anyone who says that there is no money in Education), I am amazed at the level and standard of support and tools available here.
Thank you once again
Best Wishes, Peter
