list by year ... how to set dropdown default to ALL?

hello;

when I go to List By Year menu item, the dropdown box (aka Display #) defaults to 10, but I would like to default to ALL.

I went through php files within my jommla_site/components/com_jevents directory searching for the term "selected", but I did not find it.

also, I set jevents/configuration/year&category view/no. of events to ALL but that did not do what I thought it would.

any ideas please?

I have a config - Year/Category View tab. And in it I have set the No. of Events to ALL, but that did not do it.

Is that the setting that you are referring to?

just to clarify my last response:

I do not have a config - Year List tab,
but instead a config - Year/Category View tab

I am using jevents v2.2.7

There is another setting (on by default) to BLOCK the use of limit=all since on large sites that could be used as part of a DOS attack by a malicious user. From memory this is on the first tab or on the performance/SEO tab

all right this is weird:

I found "Block 'show all' in list views", but it was already set to NO (to not block ALL), but for the heck of it I changed it to YES.

Now my "No. of Events = ALL" works as expected.

Then I reset "Block 'show all' in list views" to NO again, and the "No. of Events = ALL" still works.
