500 internal server error

I've spent the last day or so going through this board looking at the other threads relating to this issue but I have not been able to resolve it.

I have Joomla! 2.5.8 and I am trying to install JEvents 2.2.8

The installation appears to complete with no errors, however when I try to save the configuration I get a internal server error 500.

My host has cleared out old apache connections and my php limit is 128m. PHP info can be found www.jivenortheast.co.uk/info.php.

I have turned on debug but it is not throwing out errors during install and I have increased error reporting to maximum.

I have set the default editor to none and it makes no difference if SEF Urls are on or off.

Any suggestions of what I can do to try next?

Are there any error_log files in the root and admin folder?

Check the server error logs to..

There is nothing in the server error logs relating Jevents just not having custom 500 and 404 pages.

Hello,

What version of PHP are you running?

They are just warnings nothing that would cause the site to issue a 500 error.

is your Joomla! debug mode on? That might clash with JEvents, so please, if so, disable it and try again.

Debug is currently off. I have been getting the same response with debug on and off.

I would suggest installing Akeeba Admin tools and running a permissions fix..

Have you secured the site in anyway?
