Installation Error on Config page

Hey all,
first of all a big thank you for creating such a great plugin. I would really like to use it on my webpage. However, I cannot get past the Configuration page. I'm using Joomla 2.5.8 and tried to install the lates version. Whenever I click on 'Save & Close' I return to the Configuration page with the message 'Config Saved. Please check configuration and save in order to use JEvents'. I've searched the forum but couldn't find any help.
I've been running the configuration also with Firebug enabled and it gives the following error message after I click 'Save & Close':

Hope you can point me to the right direction for help!

Hello,
What version of JEvents?
Do you have any type of caching enabled?
Regards
Tony

Hey,
thanks for the quick reply! I downloaded the latest version of JEvents just today - so 2.2. I suppose.
I don't have any other caching than the standard Joomla caching, if that's what you mean?
I really have no clue how to solve this and get JEvents to install...

Hello,
Try a clean Install. See:
http://www.jevents.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10580
If that doesn't work try JEvents 3.0....
We have seen this issue a few times but it always just resol es it's self within 24hours.
Do you use a cloud based hosting? Do you use Cloudflare?
Regards
Tony
