Standard Color for Events with multiple categories?
by bienzma » Wed Nov 14, 2012 10:42 am
Dear Forum
it seems to me that if an event is created with multiple categories, in the various views it allways displays the "first" categories color, right?
Is there anything I could do to assign a "multiple categories color" or similar?
Thank you very much for your answer.
Martin

How would you actually display the multiple category colours? Its currently done as a simple HTML coloured border but that wouldn't work if we had multiple colours to display

Thank you for the quick reply.
I did not mean to display multiple colors but rather to display, if multiple categories are selected, a kind of replacement or dummy color.
Say you have 3 Categories assigned, with blue, green and red. Instead of displaying just one color of one of the categories assigned, display red (the multiple categories color) that would identify it as a multy categeory item.
I hope I have formulated it a bit clearer now?

Sure - Using the layout editor you can output a comma separated list of categories but not a 'multi-category' flag I'm afraid.

Thanks. Yes I did output the the comma separeated list, that's allready great, was just looking for a way to have it also visualy displayed in the month overview without the need to hover over the event to see that it has multiple categories assigned.
Thanks again! Great support.
