Hello,
Can you check the multi-category setting in JEvents, and change it from what it currently is an save, does this now resolve the issue?

I tried that already. After turning multi-category events on and later on trying to display events in the backend, I get this:
When I turn it off, 'Events' button works again, but still only one event is visible.

When I turn it off, 'Events' button works again, but still only one event is visible.

I suspect you have created events with a LOT of repeats - and have gone over the 'large data set' threshold.
Can you edit the JEvents config and increase the large data set criteria to 200000 from the default 100000 at the bottom of the second tab.
