How to build menu items direct to event

When requesting support, please copy and paste the 'Version information for Support Forum' from the JEvents Control Panel into your post. If you cannot see this, please enable JEvents project news within it's configuration. Also, if you get a 500 Error, Enable Joomla! Maximum Error Reporting and view the page again, you should now have a more detailed error which will help us to resolve you issue quickly.

I got it!
However, the "COM_JEVENTS_EVENT_DETAIL_TITLE" shown a list of event layout. How can I select menu item type to show a specific event directly?

Look at the menu item paramters

I just realised you are still on Joomla 1.5.
This feature is only available for Joomla 2.5+ I'm afraid.
You can create an external URL menu item to link to the event directly by cutting and pasting a URL from the web browser when viewing the event detail page.

Hi,
I'm using a direct menu link to the event detail page.
However if I edit the event (change the event date) the menu link doesn't work anymore.
It turn out the link to the event from this
http://www.mysite.com/blablabla/eventdetail/1/-/-.html
changes to
http://www.mysite.com/blablabla/eventdetail/2/-/-.html
and if I edit the date again it changes to
http://www.mysite.com/blablabla/eventdetail/3/-/-.html
In this way I have to re-check the link each time I edit the event..
Is there a way to have always the same link as far as I don't delete the record?
