Correct display of multiday event (Joomla 2.5)

Postby hansu » Thu Jul 05, 2012 7:23 am

This issue is valid in both the Main calendar component and Latest events module (latest free versions as of 04 Jul 2012):
When entering a multiday event, starting Day 1 at 1600, continueing for three days and ending Day 4 at 2000, it displays as starting each of the four days at 1600.
Is there any trick or setting which will display it more correctly like this?
Day 1 1600 - 0000
Day 2 0001 - 0000
Day 3 0001 - 0000
Day 4 0001 - 2000

Hello,

You would have to edit each repeat individually.

Basically, if you have a multiday event with repeats it's likely they are the same events but a series of the event.

What you are asking for is very uncommon. So you can just edit each repeat individually.

Or you could setup your latest events module to only display multi day events once and use te custom format field to show the end date as well as the start date for multi day events

I've got the same problem, but don't understand the actions I should take after reading these two answers. Is there a way to just edit the multi-day event text displayed on each day?

My event starts at 6pm on 4/5/13 and runs through 11am 4/7/13. I'm looking for this to display as follows on the calendar:

Friday 6pm-10pm MyEvent
Saturday 8am-10pm MyEvent OR All Day MyEvent
Sunday 8am-11am MyEvent

Hello,

Is this in list views or the module?

Set it up as a one day event that repeats 3 times and set the start and end times for the specific repeats by editing them (as opposed to editing the overall event).
