CronJob & JEV_MULTICATEGORY_EVENTS

Postby eurogla » Tue Nov 20, 2012 2:02 pm

Hi,

is there an opportunity to use JEV_MULTICATEGORY_EVENTS in combination with CronJob for updating each calendar.

At the moment we're using different calendars, synct by google. Some of the dates should be in more as one calendar.

Best regards

Can you explain what you mean in a bit more detail? Perhaps with some specific examples.

thanks

Dates are imported and updated by the CronJob. For example "Date A", which is Part of "Cat A".
Manually we added a second category to "Date A", called "Cat B". After syncing with the CronJob "Date A" is only Part of "Cat B". The second category "Cat B", which was be added, isn't chosen for "Date A".

In your ics file you are using the categories field with comma separated category names?

You enabled multi-category events in JEvents?

In your imported calendar in JEvents make sure you did NOT set the option to ignore imported categories.

Yes, it's enabled.

Can you explain, who to do this? The ics are imported from google calendar.

I can't find this option. Do you mean the option in "configuration - ical import/Export - Should you be able to edit dates, imported by icals"?

There's just the possibility to choose one of the categories.
Ignore Cat Name: no
Load from URL
Anonymus Refresh by URL - yes

that is the option I wanted you to check.

Can you download the ical file from Google and show me a couple of the event entries so I can see what category names are set for these events?
