Suggestion to support HTML in Extra Info or linked events
by BigRic » Wed Mar 09, 2011 12:14 am
This would be helpful, as often an event will have two locations associated with it (we do a lot of motorcycle runs with start point and an end point). Often times, the end point will be where others simply show up (they don't do the run). It would be cool if you could put links or an iframe in the Extra Info with a second google maps location (or even a url to one). Another idea might be to have multi-site events with Location A and Location B. In some cases, maybe even multiple linked events (for example, we have 5 starting points for a run with one ending location). Would be cool if the "event" supported multiple start times/locations and share the same ending event/location. Not even sure how I'd do this currently (probaly 6 separate events, 5 for the starts and one for the finish). Would be cool to be able to link them.

You can do this with the managed people addon.
Despite the name its really far more generic than this and you can use it to hold information about locations includeing google maps.
Then you could select a 'start point' and 'end point' and display both with link to their detail pages within the event detail page.
