SOLVED - SEF404 plugin
by dpages » Tue Apr 10, 2012 11:10 am
Might it be possible to write a plugin for the SEF404 extension. I have an issue with running two separate calendars on the same site which both generate the same SEF URL, and the only reliable way to solve the issue seems to be to turn off the SEF URL generation for jEvents, which isn't ideal.

I'd already uploaded the SEF404 plugin, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have any effect. It's definitely in the correct subdirectory, but nothing comes up in the SEF404 extensions configuration page (there's no jEvents tab as there is for jCal pro or Virtuemart).
Having said that, although it's not working on the live site, it is now working on the development server. Now all I've got to do is remember which settings I've played with..!
If I discover what sorts it out, I'll post it here.
Thanks

It won't appear in the sh404sef popup config - it is in the component settings tab

Again, this was down to me. Not sure how it happened, as I'd packaged up the site with Akeeba Backup before transferring, but the plugin was in the correct place on my development server but not on the live production site.
At least it gives me something else to add to my post-migration checklist...
