Repeat Change Warning should be a configuration parameter
by jciconsult » Fri Sep 09, 2011 2:05 pm
The repeat change warning should be a configuration parameter.
I have done the usual template override but dislike removing all warnings in case you have other useful ones.
I would STRONGLY suggest some kind of configuration of warnings because what is acceptable usage in one circumstance might not be in another.
As an example, on our church site, we have the Sunday services set up as repeat events and then edit individual repeats to change the sermon title and add other Sunday-specific details.

You mean the message that says this event is different to the normal repeat pattern?

Yes, I used the same template patch as in the previous version to suppress the messages now but I think that is a dangerous procedure.

You can hide it or change its display characteristicts using css. e.g.
or change the text with a translation override for JEV_REPEATEXCEPTION
- Code: Select all
.ev_repeatexception {display:none;}
or change the text with a translation override for JEV_REPEATEXCEPTION

Change the date and change it back. It will update all repeats and remove the message.

Is this a question or a description of a problem you are having? Can you elaborate a little thanks.
