Excessive use of tables in layouts and Accessibility

Postby pakito1972 » Thu Aug 25, 2011 4:20 pm

Hi,
Is there available any layout following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines?

If I do it myself, should I use Template Overrides or is there a better way?

Regards,

Paco

The club layouts (ruthin, iconic and extplus) use far fewer tables - also since JEvents runs in Joomla 1.5 & 1.7 we continue to use the old Joomla 1.5 layouts which are generally table tables.

But before you drop the use of tables completely bear in mind that calendars are one of the standard uses of tables which are said to be ok.

If you want to do make your own customisation then template overrides are the way to go
