custom fields addon
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

custom fields addon

I currently use a highly customized version of JEvents 1.4.3, which has seven additional fields added in the jos_events table.
Some forms and custom modules get the event data with these fields as a select field.
Does the custom fields addon also generates extra fields in the database, maybe in an extra table?
I would like to keep the core of JEvents as clean as possible, so if this is true this will be very good for me and I will get a silver membership.

The custom fields are stored in a separate table and mapped in to JEvents.
There are lots of field types available and if you can program php you can even add you own special field types if the normal ones aren't enough.

Translated using Google Translate:
This addon does work with Joomla 1.7 and JEvents 2.0.11.
You want to create a field that only be applies to one specific category? Or you want to search for events using this field value?
Did you see the usage notes here http://www.jevents.net/en/downloads/cat ... or-jevents ?
