Creating new layout defaults and add/edit core JEvents field
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Sure. I have sent you two examples of two different "icalevent.list_row" images and a screenshot of two different "icalevents Calendar". The two calendars should work with the different "icalevent.list_row" setups. That means that for example "calendar1" should use "icalevent.list_row1" and "calendar2" should use the setup of "icalevent.list_row2".
All calendars have the "category-list-layout" on two different menu items on the same page.
Hope this helps.
Jens

Even if events from the 2 calendars are displayed on the same page?

Yes Geraint, the events of the first calendar has nothing to do with the events from the second calendar and should be displayed on different menu items, but on the same page.

But the list layout you refer to is for the output from the component - and Joomla only displays one component on a page.

Well, maybe there is still a misunderstanding. I guess, there is a chance to create more than only one menu item for JEvents with the type "List by Category" (see attachment). Or not? If that is the crucial point not to use more than one different calendar with different "icalevent.list_row" layouts, hmmm... than I have really an issue. Any suggestinos?

The point is you can create separate menu items (and select the calendars/categories to display).
What I am saying it that it may be possible for me to change the layout code so that you can select a list layout specific to a MENU item.
would that be enough flexibility for you?

YES, that's it!
I think now I gotcha, so it would be great, when I can select a special listlayout in combination to a Menu item.

I've added it to the TODO list - probably for the new year.
In the meantime you could always do a template override if you know some PHP see http://www.jevents.net/en/jevents-15-to ... -list-view

O.K. Geraint. It would be great, if you could sent me a PM when you are ready.
