Event management and ticketing software ???
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Hi Geraint,
That sounds good and hopefully it could be expanded in the future so each guest could have an individual barcode.
What system would you look to use for actually scanning the barcodes?
The CodeReadr service i mentioned earlier has an API for doing all this stuff and an iPhone app for the scanning. I am just wondering if i would be able to add the API into Jevents - any initial thoughts on that?
Cheers

I bought a generic USB barcode reader and this interacts with the browser like a mouse or keyboard. That is the approach I was planning to use - as simple as possible.

Any updates on this? Would love to see an integration with CodeReadr.

This is something I will be addressing in the new year - I'll probably start with a QR based solution since these can contain more information and are readily handled by most smart phones.
