Transferring events from 1.5.5 to 1.5.6
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Transferring events from 1.5.5 to 1.5.6

Geraint…You were very helpful 18 months ago when I needed help (I had a very inept tech person then) and now I need to transfer a full calendar (jEvents V 1.5.5 ) into a newer installation and version (v1.5.6) it’s on a Joomla! 1.5 site. We realize that this is not the latest Joomla! version, however several system modifications have been made since site construction began and is a separate issue.
Our system is quite complex and I’m sure we will need a club membership soon to fully take advantage of all the calendar features (Offering a local niche calendar is our main product) Right Now I just need to know if it’s possible to transfer in the backend… one folder, or if I must transfer the events out of the front end one iCal event at a time?
Thank you.....Mindy

Hello Mindy,
Do you have any customization within JEvents?
If not then you do not need to copy any files.
You can preform a migration? or if you just want to copy the events you can use an export from your old site and import to a new site.
Regards
Tony
