Edit Repeat Event has Wrong By Day Checked
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Edit Repeat Event has Wrong By Day Checked
by arc_admin » Sun Feb 08, 2009 3:49 pm
Using the front end, if I set up a repeat event using 'By Day' to repeat on the Nth weekday of the month and later "Edit Event" then ALL of the weekdays will be checked on the Calendar Tab.
1) Add New Event
2) Start Date / Time and End date / Time (i.e. same day 2 hour event)
3) Repeat Type = Monthly
4) Repeat 'n' times OR use Repeat Until Date
5) Pick a day of Week and any Single Nth week of Month (i.e. Thursday, 2nd Week)
6) SAVE
Event will be created correctly.
7) Open any instance of the event and Click on the edit icon
8) Edit Event
All of the Nth weeks of the month will be checked; not just Week 2
Cheers,
Ken

This one is really wierd!!
If you view the page source (or generated page source in Firefox) you'll see that only one of the weeknums is "checked" and yet the browser is showing them all as checked. The same code structure is used for the weekdays but that is ok.
I even tried specifically naming the array entries but got the same effect.
I need to think about this.

Ok - I figured it out and committed the fix to SVN.
During the setup of the event (to get the formatting right) javascript was resetting these values. I added a 'setup' flag and the checked values are now correct.

p.s. The delete Ical tables option will be removed (or well hidden for production).
