Connect JEvents to a database on another server
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Connect JEvents to a database on another server

I am in charge of maintaining the Joomla-based website for a PBS/NPR affiliate station. One of my current projects is developing a simplified, Joomla-based version of the site for mobile devices.
A major component of the desktop site is the calendar, which is powered by JEvents. I would like to extend the calendar functionality to the mobile site, if possible. I would like to do it without having to make community users post to two different sites every time they add an event.
With this in mind, is it possible to connect only JEvents to the database on another server in order to synchronize the content? If not, is there a better way to approach this?
Thank you in advance.

If you have Jevents on both sites, you can use ical with a cron job to sync the two.
Would that be sufficient?
