JEvents 1.5.5 not working with firefox 9.0.1

JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

JEvents 1.5.5 not working with firefox 9.0.1

Postby paulbull01 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 6:19 pm

Hi I am using JEvents version 1.5.5 and Joomla 1.5.22 and recently have had a issue start when editing/creating new events. The WYSIWYG editor for the content of the event no longer works with Firefox version 9.0.1. which means I can no longer create events.

Anyone else had the same issue and what is the solution?

Thanks

Paul

Solved by enabling the mootools plugin... However, this makes my Joomgallery slimbox picture viewer to stop working.. is there a fix for this?

I'm running mootools 1.2.4

Thanks

Paul

Hello,

Can you check if joomgallery have an update? unfortunately Jevents needs Mootools 1.2.4 to function currently especially in the newest browsers.

FYI...I updated Firefox to version 10.0.1 tonight and that seems to have resolved the issue without having to do a major upgrade to joomla or jevents...

Anyway, you should upgrade your Joomla! installation as there are several security flaws since 1.5.22 and to avoid possible errors you should also upgrade after that, your JEvents installation.
