500 - Invalid Controller Class - Controller
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Sys Info:
JEvents : v1.5.0 alpha3
Database Version: 5.0.45
PHP Version: 5.1.6
Web Server: Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS)
Web Server to PHP interface: apache2handler
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.9 Production/Stable [ Vatani ] 9-January-2009 23:00 GMT
_____________________________________________________________________________
Now, if I select "default" template it all work fine, but I select "alternative", "ext" or "gearaint" it gives me errors in various places pertaining to JEvents - getting "500 - Invalid Controller Class - Controller" errors.
Any ideas?
I like "ext" template but can't use it with all the errors

Andreas

re-installed newest sorce still no go.
I did however noticed that there is discrepancy in hyperlinks between "defalt" template and other templates.
For example - with "default" template clicking Main category produces following link:
http://joomla.ewoff.org/index.php/compo ... 09/01/24/3
with others
http://joomla.ewoff.org/index.php/compo ... y?catids=3
In fact, anything containing http://joomla.ewoff.org/index.php/component/jevents/view_day produces an error
By the way http://joomla.ewoff.org is my test site, so you can take a look

Can you add a menu item for the calendar and test again. If this fixes things then I have a better idea what the cause of the problem is

Not sure what "menu item" I can add. So I set up brand spanking new Joomla install and installed JEvents from following files:
com_jevents_1274.zip
mod_jevents_cal_1274.zip
mod_jevents_latest_1274.zip
mod_jevents_legend_1259.zip
mod_jevents_switchview_1259.zip
created Main and Youth categories. Comparing Calendar under different templates again, here what I found. Following is the links to Main category depending on template:
geraint
http://joomla.chariotsoflight.ca/index. ... =01&day=25
alternative
http://joomla.chariotsoflight.ca/index. ... =01&day=25
ext
http://joomla.chariotsoflight.ca/index. ... =01&day=25
default
http://joomla.chariotsoflight.ca/index. ... =01&day=25
As you can see, link under "default template is different and it's the only one that works.
task=view_day - doesn't work
task=month.calendar - works
By the way, there are more faulty links, just didn't want to loiter my post with all of them (that I found)
If it's necessary - I can give you access to my test site to see whats going on

Just create a menu item pointing to the JEvents Component.
