Can't create categories or events

Background: I installed jevents 1.4 on Joomla 1.5.18 last night and I can't create any new categories OR events. (I can create new calendars.)

Problem: When I click "save" after filling out the fields for a new categories or event, nothing happens. The event isn't saved or created, I just stay on the page and get no error messages.

Are there known issues with this? Did I mess up? Any help would be great - I'm calendar shopping right now and I heard this is the best, but I haven't been able to get it working.

Why are you installing JEvents 1.4 instead of Jevents 1.5?

You have raised a good point, when my brain gets back, I will ask it.

I actually was mistaken; I am, in fact, using jevents 1.5.4. Thanks for the response.

I will try some stuff and then move any further questions to the 1.5 forums.
