Need to change the height of collum by the Component

Dear Jevents users,

I am stuck on the following problem : I want to change the height of the collums of the days in the Monthly view. I tried to change the sizes in the CSS of the component (true the backend of Joomla). I works when I put the size on 300px for example. But when I want to have it shorter (like 12px) it looks like it don't act on it.

You can see it at my page on : http://klassiek.evileyeproject.com , and then the button "Gigs".

As you take a look at it, you see that the calander falls out of the range of my website.

It is really frustrating. I hope someone can help me with this issue.
