XHTML Editor 508 not loading

I'm a newbie to all of this, so please be gentle.
I've installed JEvents 1.43 for Joomla 1.0. When I attempt to create an event, XHTML Editor does not load. It does load when creating or editing categories. What am I doing wrong?
