This build incorporates all the latest bug fixes since 1.5.2 and also a few extra features:

New Features/Changes

Event Editing

• Allow all user who can delete all events (typically JEvents admins) to specify a different creator of an event
• Add option to "apply" when editing event
• Add ability to save/apply changes to event without generating new repeats as long as the dates and repeat patterns are not changed
• Splitting the datetime and description inputs in the layout so you can have control over which to show first

ICals

• Ical Export for single events (config option to enable this)
• Ical Export menu (thanks to HiFi for a chunk of work on this) - to use this create a menu item of the appropriate type
• Add ability to ignore embedded categies in iCal Imports
• Add specific timezone for iCal Imports
• Add options to specify how multi day events are handled during iCal Import

SEF/Search Engine Improvements

• Add event title to detail url - this may improve SEF. I'll look at removing the uid from the URL
• Add new special layout for search engines just listing events with no other details
• New option to allow search engines to index (but not follow) event detail pages

New Layouts

• Allow range layouts to take start and end dates via forms - I'll write an article about using this method to create custom printable output
• A new Date Range view - you can now create menu items for lists of events for an absolute or relative range of dates

Template Overrides

• A new and easier template override mechanism for monthly calendar cells and popups (explanatory article to follow).
• Allow language overrides to be loaded from template folder e.g. templates/YOURTEMPLATE/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_jevents.ini - you only need to include strings you want to change

Control Panel

• Add news feed info into admin control panel - allows site admins to ensure they are up to date
• Hide "migrate legacy events" if old jevents tables not present

• Add creator of events in list view in backend
• PHP 5.3 compatability changes
• Mail to friend option for event detail (config option to enable this)
• Adding a default config option for the show "multiday" events on which days option

• Ensure repeats with "indefinate end" from iCalImports do not create 99,9999 repeats !
• Fix handling of missing time in iCal import dates
• Fix next/previous month mini-calendars - enabling override of these dates had broken the setting of the dates so that all 3 cals showed the same month
• Fix RSS image path and add as a config option
• Fix event access constraint for category list view
• Fix minor problem with icalrepeats wouldn't record multiday or timeless exceptions
• Ensure Ical Exports work in the different layouts
• Fixed problems in visibility of registered events in search plugin and search with JEvents itself.
• Ensuring searches respect plugins
• Move the information icon to a helper function to make it easier to customise
• Fix permission problem (for non authorised user setting) for users who are authorised to publish their own to enable them to unpuiblish and delete their own events
• Enable the use of custom values from plugins in the custom string for latest events module
